Additive Manufacturing Metals
Under the Lunovu® brand, we combine state-of-the-art technologies to make additive manufacturing of metallic materials (LMD/DED) with powder and/or wire as simple and economical as possible. This often allows complex processes to be carried out directly on the machine without the need for complex CAD/CAM programming.
From coating tasks to hybrid manufacturing and repair processes to pure 3D printing, there are virtually no limits.

LunoSUITE
The specially developed LunoSUITE offers solutions ranging from component scanning and path planning to simulation—directly on the control system and integrated into the machine.
In addition, we offer various workstation solutions for setting up complex 3D printing tasks.
LunoCAM & LunoBUILD
-
Software module for layer-by-layer construction of 3D components.
-
Luno CAM as a full-featured workstation.
-
LunoBUILD as easy to use machine integrated solution.

LunoSCAN
-
2D line laser scanner
- The scanner captures component surfaces in high resolution and delivers raw 3D data.
-
This data is processed using complex algorithms in the LunoSCAN software.
-
Multiple passes and scans at different tilt angles can be easily implemented, allowing undercuts to be captured as well.
-
Finally, 3D models in STL format are generated from this data.

LunoSIM
-
It often makes sense to first simulate the machine movements.
-
This makes it easy to check whether there is a risk of collisions or whether a modified path is advisable, especially for complex machining tasks.
-
LunoSIM displays a simulation of the actual system, including all interfering contours, and uses precisely stored kinematic characteristics.
-
Executing the generated machining program is then just another mouse click away.

LunoCOAT
-
Use the 3D model of the component visualized on the PC to define the contour of a coating area with just a few mouse clicks.
-
After entering the desired build-up height or number of layers, the system can either use predefined process parameters (track widths and heights, build-up strategies, etc.), or the user can define them themselves in an intuitive dialog.
-
In both cases, the path planning module immediately calculates the machining paths and generates the executable machine code from them.
-
In most cases, the entire process from scanning to the first welded seam takes only a few minutes!
