New SATO - INNOMAX Cutting Group
Two leading Cutting Machine Suppliers with their head office in Moenchengladbach / Germany will join forces!
SATO Schneidsysteme (flame cutting machines) and INNOMAX AG (water jet cutting systems) are merging under the same management.
Since 25 years SATO is a leading manufacturer of high quality (100 % Made in Germany) oxy fuel and plasma cutting systems with more than 1.300 installations worldwide. INNOMAX AG is a leading supplier of high precision water jet cutting systems skilled with a powerful service and sales department.
Both companies expect positive synergy effects and significant stimuli for their business activities.
Anton Hubert (68), engineer and founder of SATO Schneidsysteme, was looking for a successor for his company - and luckily matched with the owners of INNOMAX AG.
Dipl.-Eng. Holger Kerkow (main share holder / CEO of INNOMAX AG) and Master of Business Administration Frank Heesen (share holder / CEO of INNOMAX AG) acquired the SATO Company Group valid from the 1st May 2017.
After the takeover, Dipl.-Eng. Holger Kerkow immediately started as the new managing director to conduct the operational business and to set new strategic guidelines for the further development of SATO. Due to the friendly relations to the new management Anton Hubert will contribute his knowledge and inventive genius as a flame cutting pioneer for an ongoing period.
The merger has already strengthened the sales and service department and bridged existing gaps. As a next step advanced efficiency of production and new concepts for research and development are the target.
The new SATO would like to thank all customer and business partners for their ongoing trust in SATO machines and is looking forward to a further prosperous cooperation!

The company starts as an independent service base and development office for cutting machines with three employees and the main customers Thyssen and Siemens.

1995 until today
SATO develops into a system manufacturer and expands its product range to include cutting solutions for oxyfuel, plasma, laser and waterjet cutting systems.
Today, the SATRONIK series comprises 10 different types from the small SATRONIK E flame cutting machine with conventional drive and the SATRONIK LDP and WS - the world's only machines with linear drive - to the SATRONIK EHD the cutting system for heavy duty cutting up to 2000 mm.

SATO competently covers almost every cutting requirement.
Dr. Boris Hubert joins Anton W. Hubert as the second managing director of SATO Service GmbH, thus ensuring the future development of the family business.
Two SATO plants are merged. The new company complex is completed and occupied according to plan. On a site of 15,000 sqm, the following are located
- 1,200 qm warehouse for steel, raw materials and standard components
- 5,200 qm production hall for sheet metal processing, coating and final assembly
- 2,200 qm for the office complex
- Extensions of the company premises are already secured for the future.
SATO works intensively on innovative technical innovations to consolidate its market position and technical leadership.
SATO has moved into the new plant with all business areas.
SATO celebrates its 25th anniversary and looks back on a multitude of innovative products. Also in the future we will accompany the market with innovative cutting system solutions.
SATO changes its name to SATO Schneidsysteme GmbH & Co.KG.
Holger Kerkow and Frank Heesen are the new owners of SATO GmbH.
The holding company of the regional "Sparkasse" (S-UBG) took over one third of the shares in Sato GmbH at the beginning of the year, while the remaining shares remain in equal shares with managing directors Holger Kerkow and Frank Heesen. The growth capital of S-UBG is intended to accelerate the further growth of Sato GmbH.
Philipp Gingter (36), studied mechanical engineer, joins SATO GmbH at the end of the year as a further managing director. His successive assumption of responsibility will drive forward the rejuvenation process at the management level of Sato that began in 2017.
